What are your thoughts on this 3 inch hole below the passages side door? The rest of the pipe seems solid. The redneck in me wants to put some fluid film in it and some black spray foam insulation. 2015 p500 14,000 miles.

I'm not a fan of the "foam & flex seal" style of repair but to each his own. I am curious as to how it happened, do you run it in the winter where it would have been exposed to road salt/chloride?

I run it everyday of the year add some cow doo doo and this is what happens. The drivers side is missing paint but fine.

I am not too familiar on the p5 but the p1000 you can insert a black pipe from the end of the tube. It would be a good idea for this application.

I cannot find the thread anywhere but basically rear wheel was removed and a black iron pipe was able to be inserted inside the slider tube.

I would POR the inside and out of it and reinforce it with a tube inserted internally.

If you are not picky about color the green version is $29

My 2014 700 has some of the bed tubes rusting out. Never seen salt and always stored inside...... My 86 fourtrax frame is fine. It (fourtrax) was burried in weeds in an old fence line when I bought it. Go figure.

That would be a great start, 14,000 miles ago. FYI the 22 P500/520 now come with an interior treatment to diminish the corrosion effects. Pretty sure Honda is doing it now to all Pioneer models across the board.
