I heard about this setup and after all my research knew this was exactly what I was wanting. Bought 2 front talon wheels, had them wrapped in 30x10x15 and put 1.5” spacers on the back. Looks exactly like I wanted.

SoI finally got to take the talon out with the new tire set up. All I can say is WOW!! Not even the same machine. All kinds of terrain and the Terrabites were amazing. My thought, run, don’t walk, to your laptop and order a set....wow.

This is similar to what I run. 5 front wheels, 1.5 spacers, and for tires I went with 5 LT 30x9.50 mud tires off ebay. Works great. Ran moab in Oct.Sand hollow in Dec. and about 600 other miles. No issues at all.

Is that the stock cage? Maybe it’s the angle its sitting at, but the cage looks lower in the rear than stock.

Yes, it is the stock cage. The Talon is on an upward angle which the photo flattens.

I got just over 12,000 miles on my terrabite 30's and I run them on Talon fronts with the 1.5 spacers in the back. I went back to 28's for better acceleration of the corners.

I definitely noticed the reduction in power going to 30's. I need the clearance they provide more than the power but would not be willing to go to 32's with stock gearing. If you run mostly trails/sand, I would not go over 28's.

I would love to do an internal gear reduction or possibly 4" portals. Portals would be great for clearance and making the machine more stable but would need billet steering box, power steering unit and possibly forward A arms plus the cost of portals... Big expenditure.

I drive mostly medium speed trails and while I know there is a power loss because...science, I can honestly say it have not noticed it on the trails. I only had about 75 miles on it before going to the terrabites, but that was enough to feel the difference in ride. I have told myself that I will NOT put on a turbo until I am on a ride where I need more power, I am sure the first trip to sand mountain will probably be the indicator for that.

My neighbor has the Pro 1000 ultimate and he took the talon for a spin and absolutely loved it. Yes it has less power but on the trails we ride you can't use the power anyways. He said when the 1000R comes with a turbo he's switching over. He's afraid of the belt. I agree.

That looks great! I can see myself going that way with my soon to arrive 1000R. I ride highways enough that I want DOT tires. Coincidentally, I just installed 27x9-14 Terrabites on my 2015 Polaris 1000 Touring this afternoon. I bought these after reading many positive reviews. I have put a whopping 6 miles on them so far. 3 miles up the highway and back at up to 75 mph, just to test them. They ran nice and smooth. I am very pleased and can't wait to get them off road. I suspect they will be great there also.
