So I have a 2020 pioneer 1000-5LE and currently have a pV3 tuner and billet throttle body plate in route to my house , currently I have a KnN filter and a whiskey bent tip on OE exhaust. Don’t want crazy noise but would like a little more power. Has anyone heard or tried big guns new explorer series? Talon guys ? It exists and big gun has them but there are zero videos or reviews on the internet. Big gun says it’s quieter than there evo muffler and produces power throughout the rpm range ( Wich is what they say about all there mufflers). Any thoughts or reviews? Thanks.

If you end up upgrading to the Explorer, please post an update once you get it installed and running

Yeah I’m gonna go down to big gun and look at one this week. I’m local to them. Probably pick it up while I’m there. It’s very pricey. I believe it includes the o2 sensor but deletes the cat. I’m in if it does all that. I don’t want crazy loud but would like to compliment my throttle plate and tuner. Maybe a little more top end power. Keep you guys updated.

Should be picking this up this week , talked to the saws / r&d guys over there. Very helpful. I’ll post specs and conversation points once I have it in hand for pictures. Seems like a nice option for trail riders who don’t want a ton of loud for no reason. Also have a PV3 and the billet intake plate in the mail. Along with a KFI rear bumper that showed up today. Should be a nice upgrade for this season.

Definitely interested in this as part of my rear winch project. HMF may or may not ever have exhaust in stock. Let us know how much clearance there is between the exhaust and hitch if you get it installed

Here we go. They say I’m the first official purchase on this model from them , they have so far only sent out to distributors. So I guess I’m a test mule. Talked to there owner who has a p1000-5 and has one on his personal unit and loves it so let’s see. I’ll post installed pics later this weekend. 85289afaf88d0a40d0a1314edf6c8b11

Install was ok. Flange to oem headpipe is hard to connect due to oem bolts and springs but using a c clamp I got it. Uses all oem hangers. Sounds fine , a little deeper than stock (I already had a whiskey bent tip) but not ridiculous loud like the hmf or the other style big gun. This deletes the cat , keeps the o sensor. It’s really heavy being 100% stainless but still lighter than stock. Seems to have more clearance than oem a little more compact. I like it , but I’ll give a better update once I drive it more.

Looks good. Could you post a video of the bike running? I would like to hear how it sounds with the new pipes

The exhaust tip comes out on the drivers side, or is your pic mirrored? Looks sweet

Sounds good. Not as deep as an HMF but still pretty aggressive. I like it

It’s very un noticeable until about 4500/5000 rpm in the cab. So if your cruising no louder than stock. Hot rodding you hear it but not over bearing.

How much room is there between the top of the hitch and the bottom of the exhaust? Looking at adding a rear winch and I know it'll fit under the HMF exhaust, not sure about this

I know this is old, but wanted to bring it back to life for a second.. I am finding myself in a similar position as the OP - looking for feedback / reviews on the big gun explorer exhaust and cant seem to get any solid answers..

I am strongly considering buying the Big Gun explorer exhaust + TFI power box ('21 1000-5LE). Id like to know what kind of gains you had after ditching the stock system and going with the Big Gun. Results before and after tune? Is the tuner really needed for fuel trim adjustment?

What is your one year review of this exhaust kit?

Oh, and thank you for posting your video, that was the exact one I found when searching on youtube for sound clips.

And the throttle plate, please share your thoughts on that if you dont mind. Im looking for as many bolt-on, easy power gains as possible.

I already have the K&N drop in filter... Haven't noticed much difference... Haha.

Did you ever do the exhaust and throttle body plate? I am ordering all the same things and also wanted to know if it was worth it? thank you
