After a long time coming, 4500lb superwinch installed
20181110 122147
Winch controller location, I highly suggest this spot, lots of room under ignition to run wires and feels very natural running winch
20181112 122137
kolpin plow installed, entry level plow, heavy AF, but hey, on sale for $200 72 inch plow, if it lasts a few seasons I'll be happy

AHHH! I remember those days with the boys, back then you would just drive around until you saw a field with Cedars open the gate go cut one load it up shut the gate and put the tree up, now days you would probably be arrested. And they would pay someone the following summer to cut Cedars?

Here in my parts you just print out a form and sign it and your allowed 3 trees per household, no fresh cut blocks or within 15 meters (50 ft) of fsr. Good times and gives me excuses to leave the wife at home for "father son bonding time" haha.

Great Thread Budman!!

We're headed to BC next Summer on the 700 if the border ever gets opened. I've explored the K lake area on my DRZ 400 but the 700 will allow me to bring the wife along. I've been doing road trips to various areas on my street bike and have trip planned to Vancouver thru Washington and back thru BC.

Couple questions if I may...can I run on paved BC paved roads with a Idaho OHV plates? Is there anything special I need to get the machine into BC on a trailer? I've always traveled with "on road" plates on cars, truck and bikes so the 700 will be new to me.

Hope things are going well up there and stay healthy!!

Better late then never?
Sorry life been a little crazy.
It's so hit and miss out here. The OHV plates out here give you the ability to go from "trail to trail" within 5 km, coming out of a fsr across a paved road then back onto a fsr or trail.
With that being said it depends on the officer that might run into you while doing that "trail to trail" most are riders them selfs out here in the okanagan, but some are super dickheads.
"Well looks like your having fun and I'm working so I'm going to throw the book at you"
I think the best bet is to call a BC autoplan agent and have a talk with them about your plans and what you would need to do exploring
With all that being said, where I live its a 5 min drive from my house to about 600 miles of trails, fsr, you name it. You can pop out of a trail head right into a little bodunk town that doesn't give 2 poops about you being on your sxs, dirtbike, quad, whathaveyou. If your riding responsible, have your gear, have your bike insured, and maybe to help the cause get some personal liability insurance. Shouldn't be a problem. Do your research call some "BC autoplans" then find a spot where it's all trails (easy here in bc) then ride for 3 months straight and explore maybe 2% of what that area has to offer for you. Stay away from Squamish/ lower mainland area. You will get pestered there no matter how prepared you are

Good luck mate 🤙🤘💪
