my fix for that is i cut a piece of plastic and then a cargo net for the hitch carrier over top.it's not perfect but even a snapped down cover or full enclosure will not help with dust.it may slow it down but it won't stop dust from coming in.
I run a 48" diamond plate truck bed box for this. It allows weather proof storage and still has some open bed space for the other crap I haul. I dont have any pics at the moment but I'll try to remember to get some when I get home.

Here you go. This is fresh from the bear creek ride. Now loaded up and headed for Tenn to meet for another ride. The machine is covered in dust but the contents of the box are not. It's been through storms outside, power washing and dirts of all kinds. Never been wet or dirty inside.
