I've been on the hunt for ideas, I've looked at Koplin, Mad Dog Gear and a few others and some homemade. I have welder and tools required to fab my own but I did not look at unit to figure where to mount. So what are your thought I'm open to ideas? I have been carrying in bed but looking for better or permanent placement.

If you have the original case you could mount it with some screws and washers.

I made one for my 300 out of wood. Worked well. making one for my P4 is on my list but fairly far down the list.
I figured I would mount it right behind the head rest somehow. If done upright, it may not affect the dump bed.
Not really sure.

I've been looking at the Kolpin but there is really nowhere to mount it without affecting a door or dump....unless you have it hanging off the rear like a tumor.

Took the chainsaw mount I had on my 4 wheeler and did some fabbing, turned out good. Have to take it back off & paint it now that I know it fits properly.

Looks good, that's what I wanted to do but I didn't want to spend money on the kolpin then have to fab it to fit.
I ended up making a tray from left over 2x4 and plywood that fits in the bed. Easy to remove, nothing slides around, keeps bar oils and junk out of the seats. When it gets too nasty I'll use it for kindling.

I am not cutting firewood, clearing only so nothing was getting hauled but tools.

I like that idea too. I only carry a small cordless chain saw just to clear trees that have fallen across the trail. I also carry a small bow saw in case there's lots of trees and the battery runs out of power. But I do like the idea of how the saw is easy to get to and out of the way.

Had a friend make me a Kydex sheath for my hand saw. Mounted it to the back lip of the roof above the tailgate. Nobody knows it's even there, but it's easily accessible. Uru5arez
