Yes, you read right….
Many rumor’s have been going around this year about new SxS's from Honda, but now we finally have conformation from Honda themselves on future Pioneer models.

Honda has posted an updated blog of the “2014 Honda Pioneer Development” posted October 16th. In this long article, which mostly covers the development and offerings of the Pioneer 700-2 and 700-4, we find the first confirmed statement from Honda stating that there is more to come from the Honda Pioneer Side by Side line.

Quote taken from the Honda Website - http://honda.us/1glgGfV
These brand-new two-person and four-person Pioneer models not only replace the highly respected Big Red in the Honda lineup, they also kick off a whole new phase of Honda side-by-sides, with more exciting Pioneer models to come in the future.

This leaves us wondering what can we expect from the 2015 model line. Some hope for a big bore Sport model while others wish for a smaller SxS such as a 150cc kids version or a mid range 500 class SxS that is all of 50 inches trail ready.
Whichever route Honda chooses to go, you can insure it will be the “Best on Earth”.

New to the Pioneer models is a dual shift-mapping program that automatically selects between two transmission shifting modes—either Cruise or Sport mode—for optimum shift timing depending on the driver’s pattern of throttle operation. During aggressive use, the Sport mode kicks in and holds the transmission in gear longer before shifting to deliver more aggressive performance. During more casual operation, the Cruise mode allows the transmission to shift up sooner for more casual performance and extended range from the Pioneer’s 8.2 gallon fuel tank. All in all, the driver enjoys optimum performance—automatically.

I just want a 4 seater, with a bit more grunt, power steering, and a high/low gear select. For low to mid 13k..... lower would be nicer lol.

.... and a limited slip or selectable locking rear for another $500 or so. 60" is too wide for a positive rear in my opinion... especially on concrete n asphalt.

Interesting if Honda reveals a sport machine. Hondas racing technology is exceptional. Quality too. I raced (motocross) for a few years as a young(er) man... always on a Honda (CR) ...

Amazing how well the machine performed and very reliably too.
