Diff Lock Sound

When I have my pioneer locked into Diff Lock 4 wheel, as I move forward hearing clicking sound in the front end as if the gear is not locking in. Taking into shop this week to see what's up. Anybody else hearing this?

When in 4 wheel drive, not Diff lock I have a whinging noise when decelerating down hill with no brakes applied. But I think it's normal. Haven't used Diff lock much yet.

That doesn't sound too good. I highly doubt that it should be making a clicking noise. I've used mine in 4 diff lock and haven't heard any clicking while driving. I do hear a click when I take it out of 4 w diff lock. Possibly your cable isn't adjusted properly ?? Good that your taking it to the dealer to get it looked at.

I thought I heard it when we were riding. Sounded like a CV joint clicking.

Your right although it does not make the sound unless I turn the wheel weird. We'll see what it is let you know. Thanks

what was the verdict. what was making the noise.

Come to find out the drivers side front A Arm Guard on the rear side of it when you turn the wheel to the left the back of the arm guard was rubbing on the inside of the wheel so the dealer trimmed it up, another trim job for the Univparts Guards being sold on ebay. Nothing in the diff. Installed my rear mud flaps this weekend trying to get pics on this week been busy. Thanks
