I was inspired by a member of this board to color the drive mode specter letters so you can see them. Stock they are just raised black letters and difficult to make out.

I first tried a glow in the dark paint and paintbrush squired from Walmart. This approach is not good if you are not a steady hand with a very fine brush. I ended up using a paint pen and it worked really well.

FAIL... Mine wiped right off.
I used the same pin.... I think.
Let it dry 2 hours. Went out to check it and it wiped right off. Let it dry another hour same same results.

What did I do wrong? :-(

you have to shake the crap outta them before using them also, like d-b says, maybe try some acetone first, then try the pen on some else first just to make sure you have good paint coming out first.

I put a heat lamp over mine for an hour. Even though it's white out,it did ok. It dried hard but it's brittle.

Maybe the acetone and scour the area would help.

I let mine sit overnight to dry and washed it today. It had just a small but come off today and I was equally disappointed. It did hold up a lot better than yours though. I am wondering if I need to use some fine grit sandpaper first. I have also thought about masking it off and using krylon plastic spray paint.

sand paper or a scotch brite pad. did you wipe it down first with acetone?. The plastic may have a mold release on it.

Wow..Weird to believe yours is having this issue. I'm thinking yours was the first through the mold with the release agent on it like allgm1 said. Mines been painted washed and armour alled to death.
