I want to buy an enclose trailer that if needed can hold my P700. The trailer is a dual axle that can easily handle the P700 weight. It is a pretty tight fit however:

The trailer length is 12 feet
The door opening is 6'9" tall and 6'8" wide

I believe my stock 2020 P700 is

9'7" long
6'7" tall
5' wide

This seems real tight to maneuver side to side on pulling it in and out. The tow vehicle is a Silverado 2500.

Any advice/experience? Thanks!

Gonna be tight for sure. Probably be ok getting it in and out although you may rub just a bit on the roof when you come off the ramp and definitely wont be able to add any height without lowering tire pressure or using transport wheels. My biggest concern would be getting in and out of the machine when it's in the trailer. Might have to take the door off on drivers side.

I yup, might be too tight. I'd take My P7 over fora fit test before I bought any trailer.
Got any pics?

I was going to test the fit but there is some distance and logistics to get the trailer to the farm. I also don't know about any good means to secure the P700 on the inside. Also - getting out of the unit once it is in the trailer would involve some less than graceful movements (I think).

I don't need to transport the P700 that often - just for service (like the current recall).

Was just wondering if any other owners dealt with this situation. What is the smallest enclosed trailer you have comfortably used? I assume you secured it on the inside?

Thanks!

If thats all your doing, save u some money and just get an open Tandem trailer And put some Etrack in it. No since of getting an inclosed for just that.

I agree with that (for the P700) but I have four kids (3 currently in college) that I am going to be moving all over God's green earth for the next decade. That is the main need for the trailer.

If you get one wide enough to work around, you can use etrack to secure it. Etrack or chocks with wheel straps is a wonderful thing on an open or enclosed trailer

It'll fit but you'll probably have to crawl out the front or back. I think even hugging one side wouldn't be enough. This is a 7x12 loaded with a P5. I use the strap chocks to put it the same place every time.

Thanks for the pics - good idea to put some traction strips. Is that fold down metal a custom piece to protect the opening edge?

I have a single axle 6 x 12 Lark trailer with a 6” taller roof - Inside dimensions are 11'-4" L (13'-2" to V-nose) x 5'-8" W x 6'-6" H - Door opening is 63in W x 72-1/2in H.
My 2017 P-500 fits fine, open trailer side access door, fold in side mirrors, drive in forward, set brake, exit through passenger side and side access door of trailer..Tie down on 4 corners and your done.
To be sure this is a tight fit, but I had the trailer to move from Michigan to Alabama. If possible I would go bigger for your P-700.

No, I got that online to keep from tearing up the gap between the ramp and trailer floor. Also wrapped all the edges of the ramp in aluminum angle to protect those. Lots of stainless steel screws!
Didn't set mine up as a tramper but it's still nice to be able to go back to the trailhead and get out of the weather. This was at the TO a few yrs ago. It rained for about an hour so we set up some chairs and had lunch until it blew through.

I purchased a 7x14 made by Forest River....I have a roof on my 700, so I had the trailer built with extra height. Getting in and out of the unit is no issue as I offset the machine when I pull in giving me room to open the drivers door. Great trailer so far!
