This is interesting it looks like they are moving the "oil cooler" to the opposite side of the engine using external piping routed around the front of the crankcase. Also in another patent along with this the engine & DCT oil filters appear to be moved from pointing out on the drivers side of the engine to the opposite side facing straight back as this engine casing is part of the oil cooler. It comments they are moved of "easier maintenance". Also appears to make things a bit more compact with the engine by doing this.
