I would like to start a thread to complain about a product. Mainly wheel spacers. I will update this thread as I receive updates from the seller/company.

I purchased 2" spacers and 1" spacers from the above company in may of 2021. I paid $95 for all 4. Quality seemed great out of the box. The spacers arrived in good condition and I have been running them now for 2 years with no problems.

I needed to change my front 1" spacers to 2" spacers to clear a set of control arms I recently installed. I paid $80 last week for the 2. It seems price has gone up everywhere. I opened my package today to find the spacers faced towards each other, seperated by foam, wrapped in bubble wrap. Packaging was what someone would expect and done well. However the spacers are damaged. I would have to assume by the way they were packaged the damage was done prior to shipment. Based on how well they were packaged. I have sent pictures and an email to the company and I am waiting a response.

The spacers have multiple scratches, both have several dings to their faces with 1 heavy ding that would require grinding before a flush mated surface could be achieved. 1 of the wheel stud tips is slightly smashed.

Were those US made or ChiCom?

They actually look like they've been installed before. I wonder if they were returned and then sent to you as new?

Should have gone with @RB3offroad ...

Thats why we encourage purchasing from our venders when possible aka @RB3offroad. That prob wouldn't happen and if it did, they would b on a replacement like fly on $hit with a simple phone call

I am not sure of manufacturer origin. I do not see anything listed. They are billet and studded for the Honda.

Actually there not. Honda is 4/136.
But most 137's do fit.

Not sure this is on Sothern Powersports as they're just the middle man most likely.
The only impeeding issue I see is the stud being marred up.
If you can get that fixed then your good to go.

Ya, it sucks. I understand being new and wanting new...

I received a response yesterday evening from souther powersports and they apologized for the issue. They said it seems it was damaged in shipping and were ready for an exchange, however due to the inability to receive a replacement by Friday we agreed on a partial refund thru negotiation. I got $27 back. I am a happy customer at this point.

That was NOT shipping damage.

But as long as you are OK with the deal, then all is well.

Besides tire rotations, Whats the benefit of using spacers instead of properly backspaced wheels ?

For me it was correcting my backspace to clear aftermarket control arms without replacing the wheels.

I also have aftermarket wheels that are all the same so my wheel spacers are different sizes front to back to keep the width even.

I wanted to run the exact same tires and wheels on all four corners so I can rotate and carry a single spare. That necessitates spacer(s) to even out the front/back tracking.

I was able to Amazon prime some rough country 1.5" wheel spacers. The tires clear the arms and shock mount. The rough country showed up in a flip top cardboard box with less packaging than the southern sports and the rough country were completely free of any blemish. I will keep the southern powersports spacer around in the tool box in case I need a spare.

Besides the easy spare tire replacement the other benefit is that all the cool kids do it 😎

Well that's the route I took, 6 +1 fronts and 5 + 2 rears and here's why, I don't run much dirt road, the fronts take the brunt of abuse. When the rears start to wear down the fronts are done. And I run great tires, no spare. I didn't want a wider stance than stock because of the trails we ride around here. Minie rant over! HA!
