I like the part about transmissions shuddering. We used to fix a ton of fords by adding "shudder fix". It was sold by car quest, it came in a 6-8 oz plastic tube. It looked like a red colored STP oil treatment. You could pour that in, drive 3 or 4 miles and let it get mixed in and presto, no more shudder.
