I had no complaints on the stock ones at all. Those do look good! I was going to do that mod when I had my Viking.. but honestly, the OE seats were pretty dam comfy. My daughter and I did that 3 day 220+ mile ride from Idaho to Montana and back, & we both commented on how we didn't get sore after setting on those seats for so long.
That sticker behind the snorkel is flipping awsome!Cheers old smellers!View attachment 135543
Yep, great rig. I wanted a 700 before you couldn't get a new one. So she was the excuse. But I never thought she wouldn't let me drive it!Oh, hell yeah! She has a Wolvie? She's a keeper!
I switched over to the Wolvie with the 850. Couldn't be happier.Yep, great rig. I wanted a 700 before you couldn't get a new one. So she was the excuse. But I never thought she wouldn't let me drive it!
@100Acre and I did 230 something mile ride one time when we first got the Wolvie and wife and I were almost better then we left. Couldn’t believe how cozy it was. The r-spec is like cheating compared to the Pioneer for room ride and comfort. I definitely like the Pioneer more but for long rides the Yami is just incredible, do nice to be able to stretch outThose do look good! I think we need to make the 1st Gen Wolverine a honorary Honda and give it a home here. @Hondasxs?@100Acre and I did 230 something mile ride one time when we first got the Wolvie and wife and I were almost better then we left. Looks great! So you don't clean up the Wolvie?Wife mounted her yxz seats today. She did good, they are comfy!

I sure consider that thing as dependable as a Honda, at least for us. It gets beat hard and not ever taken care of broken plastics taillights and sticks jammed in everywhere. Everyone rides it like they stole it. 2500 miles now, we went through 3 Pioneer 1000’s to get one to the current mileage of 2200. Just saying...good machine!I think we need to make the 1st Gen Wolverine a honorary Honda and give it a home here. @Hondasxs?
CP tested.. H.F.A.W.H.A. approved!!I sure consider that thing in comparison to a Honda. It gets beat hard and not ever taken care of. Everyone rides it like they stole it. 2500 miles now, we went through 3 Pioneer 1000’s to get one to the current mileage of 2200. Just saying...good machine!
What's odd is it seems more appreciated here than it does on Wolvy forums.I sure consider that thing as dependable as a Honda, at least for us. It’s like a good ugly woman... you can do anything to them, piss in their face if you want and they just keep coming back and taking care. What's odd is it seems more appreciated here than it does on Wolvy forums.
Maybe they wanted more power and speed for some of those dirt and gravel roads everyone enjoys lol. Idk but I love our machine. Everyone that drives it doesWhat's odd is it seems more appreciated here than it does on Wolvy forums.
I'll spray it off but she can detail it since she hits every puddle at mach 3!Looks great! So you don't clean up the Wolvie?
If Honda had something similar I would of strongly considered it. But for ease of us, ride comfort and durability and price its awsome. For trails it's so far ahead of my old 700, and I'd assume a 500.What's odd is it seems more appreciated here than it does on Wolvy forums.
Yamaha builds great bikes! In 78 I bought a Yamaha 750 3 cylinder, drive shaft, with faring and saddle bags, it was ugly! But it would blow the doors off any Honda Supper Sport 750, dead starts, rolling starts, top end, you name and that was with full faring! One thing I did learn with the faring on, was don't meet a semi at 120 MPH on a two lane hi way, I hugged the yellow line and found my self on the shoulder after we met, flat tracking! True story! Maybe that’s a girl thing. Sammy did this. I kinda got mad this time because It was fully clean for first time ever on Friday and by Saturday it was this.I'll spray it off but she can detail it since she hits every puddle at mach 3!
Only way I would be pissed is if she said she didn't have a good time! HA!Maybe that’s a girl thing. Sammy did this. I kinda got mad this time because It was fully clean for first time ever on Friday and by Saturday it was this.

She just needs to have time to get used to the machine, mach 4 is a cleaner ride! HA!I'll spray it off but she can detail it since she hits every puddle at mach 3!
