Went diving yesterday...Surfing is too active for this guy. My happy ass is sitting on this balcony with the wife, drinking near-beer, listening to the water and Jimmy Buffet/Bob Marley while mini-me sleeps.

I got certified then started working for the dive shop and taught for several years. If I ever tie myself to another SSI shop I could teach again but I don’t think I ever will. I REALLY enjoy it far more than SXSs but it’s a 5hr+ trip to go anywhere with anything to see.

If you ever go to the big island of Hawaii they have a Manta dive/snorkel it should be a bucket list item. These are filter feeders, are 15-20’ wingtip to wingtip, and will get within inches of you.

That’s really cool. Always had a fascination for the sea. I’d love to dive with sharks and see big angles in their habitat.
Years back we had an in wall 400 gallon reef tank, had 10 big angles, eels, angler fish and everything. Even had 2 small 10 gal species tanks plumbed in, one had seahorses and one had a bluering octopus. Loved it but it was costly and time consuming to maintain even though we sold off angles when they got larger. We sold it all to get out first motorhome and made a small 95 gallon in wall that we still have now with just a couple of my favorites left.i still miss them all. Hope to spend time in the ocean like what you just did. Someday!

These were a few we kept for a few years but was even tougher in small tank imo.

If I still drank this would be a Cheers day. Happy 10th wedding anniversary to our daughter and son-in- law and congrats to our next to youngest son who is now a doctor and is starting his residency next month!

I got certified in college... I have a halcyon BC and scubapro regs I haven’t used in years. I love it too. But It’s hard to get away to do it. We should do a trip somewhere sometime!

Thats awsome. The closest ive ever came to diving is looking at that giant fish tank at bass pro shop. Lol
