@CumminsPusher , @popeye this looks like a cool place. Mission British Columbia.
In your Cummins???I’ve heard from a coworker that’s brought his rock bouncer style Ls powered Buggy, that the area up there is very challenging. But it’s super low key, you can’t find it on the internet, so if you don’t know a local, you’ll never find it. Plus than comes the laws with their nation.... we all know they would never let @CumminsPusher in.
But I have crossed their cascade mountains range. Definitely twice the mountains that I see in western Washington. Very beautiful up there

I had to take a truck run away route, 9% grade for 8 kilometers, brake pedal started to fade less than half way down, dragging 17-18k behind me.
In your Cummins???
Funny with around 10,000lbs my exhaust brake will slow you down so much you gotta give it gas to keep speed in the Rockies. But those older ones didn't have that really did they?In my last truck, 6-8 years ago. 96 3500. Drw. The trailer I had at the time was rated for the load at 14k. It was just that freaking steep, for about 4 miles or more. The one and only pass that steep here in Washington state closes during the winter and is closed to Comerial trucks year round due to lack of run away truck routes
Lmao! Maybe younger but I busted ass and cleared up everything, good to go now. I’d just have to leave a few things behind. Maybe we’ll do a trip next year?I’ve heard from a coworker that’s brought his rock bouncer style Ls powered Buggy, that the area up there is very challenging. I gotta feeling when Popeye says it’s steep it may just be steep! f***er can and does drive anything anywhere at anytime.Funny with around 10,000lbs my exhaust brake will slow you down so much you gotta give it gas to keep speed in the Rockies. But those older ones didn't have that really did they?

I’m a manualPay attention next time you come down a grade, that one was 9% for 9 kilometers, it had my adrenaline pumping and I was scared. Think it’s works out to like 5-6 miles. 9% Is steep
In Mississippi we don't have a lot of "steep" grades but when using my 2012 Cummins' exhaust brake in conjunction with the Tow/Haul mode on the transmission it had pretty violent downshifts,IMO.Pay attention next time you come down a grade, that one was 9% for 9 kilometers, it had my adrenaline pumping and I was scared. I was in 8-9 % in Colorado my brother with a 1500 hemi said he didn't know if he was going to have enough power coming over the same pass only towing a wolverine on a 10' open trailer. I cant imagine that in a big rig in the snow!Pay attention next time you come down a grade, that one was 9% for 9 kilometers, it had my adrenaline pumping and I was scared. Man I like that truck on the flatbed! Seen chris blew a tranny.Speaking of trucks, my buddy is getting on me heavy to get his Cummins going after both his Ford diesels s*** out in a weeks time. One just left him stranded 300 miles out. Sucks because he’s a really good dude that’ll give anyone anything. He’s the guy that gave me the little race truck so I already owe him.
