I contacted a dealer here in the valley about a 2020 X2. MSRP is $12,699 base model.
I'd priced a base 700-2 with them last week, so I'll exclude myself having some knowledge of their "deals" (

Dealer never got back, so I called. Machine is waiting on "lower end engine parts" they robbed to get a customer going. He priced it at roughly 2k over msrp, but at that point, there was no point. Turns out they have a deluxe 700-2. Gave me a price of about 1k over msrp out the door. Hmmm...
This place does seems willing to deal, despite my 1st encounter with them.

The problem is that "I" wouldn't be the one fixing it, and I don't trust their guys to do it. Or any guys, for that matter.
I ask what parts were robbed, the guy kinda stumbled a bit and then told me he could provide a detailed list, so I'm thinking he just isn't very mechanically inclined. They were waiting on the warranty parts from Yamaha.
I'll probably be talking to him again, and I'll ask what happened.
