I got over to @SouthParkColorado ’s place near Buena Vista Colorado and I went ahead and switched out the other leaf spring. Now the trailer sits level and the fenders are much higher off the tires than before. I did stuff a bunch of grease around the bolts holding the springs to the trailer bed. I just finished installing the the tire and it started snowing! I didn’t get to stuff grease in the bolt holes I did yesterday but I’ll get to it soon enough...
I have been getting all these warnings in my truck dash in relation to the trailer and today when I installed the new leaf, I discovered that the idiots I had retire my trailer brakes lights etc somehow managed to get two wires pinched under one of the U-bolts. One of the wires was cut in half. So I used a couple of butt connectors and spliced some new wires in and hopefully this will rectify some of the warning issues I keep seeing...

No , you ever looked into a septic tank, all you see is corn floating around, corn is just a intestine scrubber, from DR Smitty! HA!

I don't think I have ever thought to say that about my self, I need to work on my self esteem!

A friend of mine sent me this today .He has know idea I have an interview with the pipe Thursday . I'm thinking about leaving a 22 year career as a skilled machinist to just be a general maintenance man but for 8 more bucks an hour in the 5 years how can I pass it up . We're I'm at i would maybe get 2 bucks in 5 years I hope I get the chance to step off that board .

Do it, as long as bridges are not burnt, I’m sure they would take you back. It’s pretty Grimm out there to be able to find good blue collar help out there.

I'll try not to burn any but my management is just like that. Jacked up part is if I wanted to move an 1hr and 1/2 away from farm and family i was offered a job in a machine shop making 6 digits a year .

Lots of jobs for machinist type dudes out here. We have the giant clean up of the Hanford nuclear reservation. A lot of sub contractors for the site too.
My Son-in-law is a machinist for Areva here.

Sad thing today is that you really have to jump companies to see any big increase in your pay. You can see it in your current company in the people they hire from outside. There is a high cost to employee turnover that companies don't realize.
