Looks to be a Moccasin. Can be very aggressive and poisonous. Not sure if it is male or female and wouldn’t want to look

Thanks! Trying to learn how to identify snakes and trying to correctly guess

It was actually a brown water snake. Thought it was a moccasin based on how short and fat it was. I couldn't see the head, but I would have executed his ass either way.



They look really similar so I usually don't take the time to ask it whether it is nice or not.

This moccasin was in a PVC pipe behind my shed:



That f***er must have had babies right before that because I got this little one crossing the yard while I was on my mower:



I've lived in this house for almost 10 years and have never seen any venomous snakes around until last year.
