Got my second bird this morning; a rare hunting occasion where a plan worked perfectly. A slightly better bird than the first.

No pics yet, my buddy left yesterday and took his why-fye hot spotted thingy with him . . .

So many toms this year, very unusual. Saturday morning I saw nine. Ridiculous.
I'm extraordinarily lucky to be good friends with a guy willing to share this amazing place to hunt.

'Course, I do help with chores, deer stands, cash and whatnot and try very hard to not impede him and his family's enjoyment of the property. And I share his stance on responsible hunting in general. Our "If it’s brown, it's down" friends are no longer invited.

When we converted one of the barns to accommodate a travel trailer, he even had a 30 amp RV receptacle installed for my Tramper.
