P1000 Has anyone snorkeled out the roof??

Curious if anyone has done or attempted to snorkel out the roof of 1000? Is there a functioning vent that would work? It’s not for me, my buddy wants to try and get his snorkel out from under roof because of sound.

You could certainly do that, but you will be opening up holes for rain to come through. Another option would be to add some sound chambers into your snorkels. A wider area in the tube to bounce some sound waves around. Just like the stock intake has.
