Hello, I'm ReidMcT

Hi. Buying a virtually new 700 to use as a work vehicle on my very rocky and sloping small acreage. I've joined the other Pioneer site as well... not sure which is the more active.

I hope to get some answers about winches, power bed lift options, hitch modifications, rakes and other implements, etc. It will haul brush, logs, and wood chips. It will pull a trailer, and carry y chain saws and fuel.

I will (hopefully) install power steering this weekend.

In return, I expect I may be able to offer thoughts on troubleshooting and general mechanical stuff as I am a fairly capable motorcycle home mechanic.

The 700 is my first SxS, and it will share my affections with a Ducati Diavel and a BMW R1150R.

That's about it for now.

-Reid

Welcome take a look around and if you can't find the answers you need feel free to ask questions, a lot of guys like myself have heavily used their 700 and 1000 for utility use. Bed lift assist is piss poor, NEEDS a electric assist if you're going to be using it to dump it loaded.

Welcome and gain as much knowledge as you can.I sneak a peak over to the dark forum accasionally as well.
And you have to know where the sweet spot is on bed for better controlled dumping.
