P1000 Help/Trouble with New 1000-5 Deluxe Plastics

I am looking for some help here...I decided to do a color swap on my pioneer and priced out all of the parts from a couple different online places and eventually placed an order through Partzilla. After waiting a week or so I receive an email back from them stating that in order to process the order they needed another $200 for shipping (even though at no point in the process did it say anything other than free shipping). This was almost 75% of the original plastics cost so I decided to move on from that and went to Pro-caliber which was almost identical price wise. I just received an email today, 5 days after placing the order, that says "Unfortunately due to the dimensional size of the items you ordered we will not be able to complete this order. "

I know that there are quite a few individuals on here that have done this swap so I just wanted to reach out to you guys and see what you had to do to get your new plastics in. Thanks in advance for any help!

I know a certain member on this site received a factory frame via free shipping. It may cost a bit more for the parts initially, but chances are they will honor their free shipping on the order.

Checking with them now, this might take a little while because I guess there is no way to search for the part numbers you have to manually go through all of the schematics...this will be fun lol

EDIT: After spending some time with a sales rep, they don't offer the fender that I would need.

Like Jackal has pictured above search for the 2016 SXS1000M5D3A and it will show the silver pieces you need. I looked at my order from a year ago but the Rockymountain part numbers won't come up. Looks like the price has jumped but they still are available. I can't speak about other sites but I have always bought from Rockymountain and Procaliber with no problem shipping. That's too bad Procaliber has started kicking back orders because usually their prices are a little better then Rockymountain. Good luck

Looks like while I was typing he gave you everything you needed. I sure like the color change of the silver. I was originally thinking the 2017 blue but the silver was about $80 cheaper.

ProCaliber was about $40 cheaper but at this point I've been hassling with this for 3+ weeks so I just said screw it and ended up ordering from Rocky Mountain...thanks for the replay though! I am pretty sure I have either talked to you about this swap or seen some threads from your swap to silver. Super excited to swap away from the red.

I'm glad you were able to get it work. We were excited about swapping from yellow to silver as well. Like I said, I'm a little disappointed with Procaliber because they've usually been pretty good. I used them earlier in the fall to purchase my front and back doors, whose boxes were bigger and weighed more then the fender and hood boxes. Enjoy.

I did. My father in law bought a red 1000 and is pretty tough on stuff, so he thought a spare set would be a good investment. I'm sure it has a mix of colors by now.

Just a quick update, I would recommend Rocky Mountain to anyone. Placed the order Tuesday at around 2 and had parts already showing up Wednesday when I got home from work. Super fast...especially for free shipping!
