I am excited to announce that Hill Billy Brake has a brake product for the Talon. I volunteered to test a prototype for them. I was so impressed that I immediately got online and purchased one for my P1K. Easy install and works great.

Not buying that. The P500 has a factory parking brake. Many stock Honda quads did as well.

It’s not for sale.

i’m saying it has to be a cable brake. (Solid connection separate from primary braking system) rather than a lever that actuates the primary braking system.

it’s unfortunately written into law.

Still the same short fall of any Honda 1000

I like the idea but I still hate the pin and spring. It's easy to unlatch but with dirt and corrosion it sucks to operate. I have had to tap mine several times to allow it to actuate/slide. As a new out of box product it gets 4 stars for working "ok" and releasing well but with wear and tear it works worse everytime and it's just not cut out for dirt, sand and corrosion. Overtime it's probably a 2 star or marginal at best product. It's sticky and clumsy to operate, sometimes it doesn't release at all or can't be latched if I need it.

Good luck but you'll need it or you'll need to maintain it more often than the rest of the machine

Coming from a guy who likes mud...

I on the other hand haven’t had any issue with it. I just spray it when I lube everything. So far so good
