Hello everyone! I was getting ready to do the first oil change on a new pioneer 1000-6 and had some questions about the oil dipsticks. Hopefully someone can help. In the area of the oil dipstick there is another dipstick that’s not labeled and I’m not sure what it is. Can anyone help!?
I did find the sub transmission one as well. Has anyone been changing the sub transmission oil with the first oil change even though it doesn’t say you need to?

Don't waste your time or money. I changed mine at 2 years and I don't remember how many thousand miles. It still looked good. I've also seen a talon with hundreds of miles with no oil in the subtrans with no damage. I've got over 13k miles on mine now and I don't know if I will ever change it again lol
Change all oils, even the diffs. One, you'll know they are proprly filled. Two, you get to know your machine a little more intimately. Three. You will sleep better because of it.
I also have the 1000-6 and 90miles on it. That is the dipstick on the bottom and fill on the top. I was asking the forum as well but on the front and rear gear oil. People replace it at 100miles but the book clearly says Check level and on the second section of the maintenance chart it specifies Replace every two years along with sub transmission oil, brake fluid, coolant. That’s what the book calls for.
