P1000 internal logistics charge

Just received bill for my 2022 pioneer 1000-3 which included an "internal logistics charge" of CAD$300. Anyone know what this is for?

It's simple. The charge is to increase profit at that dealership.

A car dealership once had a "DIC" line of $500 on a quote they gave me. When I asked, he said it was "Dealer Incurred Charges."

I said "so you mean I get DICked?" Then I told him to delete that line first and we'd talk price.

You probably don't have that kind of leverage in this market, heh.

The $400 USD would convert to almost $500 CAD, not $300. Unless Honda is just being nice to the Canucks.

Could just be what they refer to it as, but they are charging dealers more money for shipping now.

When I began looking for a Pioneer 1000-5 back in early January, I had a local dealer quote me a price. When I began questioning the various add-on charges I discovered that they had tacked on a "commodities charge". He told me it was for increased shipping and other things. It was $1700. Needless to say that ended our conversation.

I believ the total shpping charges (including the increase) brought the Pioneer to $1500 total. Or somewhere in there.

I guess I should have added that this was in addition to $1100 destination charge, $900 dealer prep, and $300 documentation fee. All of this was for a 2021 model on the floor.

Just heard back from Honda Canada. It means a fuel surcharge depending on where you live. Thanks for all your comments. So $1200 freight plus the $300 fuel surcharge.
