Is there a tip over reset for the 1000R

A friend put his 1000X over on it's side a couple years ago. After upright, couldn't get it to start. He took it to the shop and spent too much money to do a reset of something. If I'm out miles from cell towers and have that unfortunate adventure, I'd like to know if it's a reset I could do myself. I'm hoping to do the Arizona Peace Trail in March. Does anyone have experience with this?

Never heard of such a thing on the Talon, I flopped our Talon over and didn't have an issue

I own a pioneer therefore I don't tip over😬😂 but I've never heard of a reset on a Talon either...

I only have experience with the p500. To make it go again you have to tip it back up on the wheels.

Maybe I’m wrong but there is a pseudo switch, oil pressure switch shuts engine down to save itself, needs like 45psi, I think it’s when the machine is on it’s left side.

thankfully it has this - generally I want the engine off when tipped over - running engine not much use to me anyway

so everyone who is on their side above, you shut engine down or it shutoff itself? Once upright im taking it the machine cranked and started?

I think your buddy had other issues, need more data as to what they reset, what codes, etc. for exampke

In the picture I posted above, and pretty much all the SXS naps I've witnessed and been part of......you shut the engine off, after some expert wenching you're back on all 4 wheels and the machines always start right back up. I've never been napping on my top skid plate (🤞not to either) so I can't speak to that scenario 🤷‍♂️

I believe there is something in regards to cycling key on to off several time before restarting.

I think that might be what it was. This morning I talked with another Talon friend about the reset. He said he had an oil switch problem, without doing the tipsy thing. Ride Now had his machine 3 months trying to figure it out. That oil switch would auto reset before it threw a code into memory. He said turning the key off and on reset it. And it was okay for a very short time.

I remember it from several years ago. I'm not sure who it was. My memory is shorter than, whatever I was just talking about.

I did a side park job a couple months ago and was concerned about it starting. It was perpendicular for about an hour and a half. Cactus made the come-along process sticky. But it started right up.
