P1000 Just got word my new 2021 1000-5 finally came in!!! Needing help with side mirror options?

I received word from my dealer this morning that my new white 1000-5 finally came in today.

I had previously planned to have the same accessories I had on my pair of 2016's all dealer installed prior to picking it up.
Turns out some of the Honda item numbers have changed and so had the design.

One conflict they are telling me about is the solid glass windshield will not allow the Honda side mirror kits to work.
I really want to get side mirrors on this thing, if at all possible.

Has anyone else with a solid glass windshield on 2021 found a good solution for adding side mirrors.

The other items from Honda were the winch, full roof, full glass windshield, interior rear view mirror, and front and rear a-arm guards.
This was pretty much the exact way I had my 2016's setup.

I don't use side mirrors but I do use the honda brand inside rear view mirror. I like it a lot.

Here is a few pics of my pair of 2016 1000-5s I had back in 2016-2018.
I sold them late 2018 early 2019, it had been at least 18 months or longer, they had not been used.
Now FFW a few years I have several acres of my own I could have used them on and now am soon to have a little more time to ride them, I am trying to recreate at least one of them. As you can see both of these had solid Honda glass windshields and Honda side mirrors. Not sure what happened between 16 and now 2021, they still look just a like to me.

The xprite led lighted mirrors I run use a c-clamp style roll bar mount that is completely flush on the windshield side. Maybe they'd work with a glass windshield?

I put he seizmik lighted mirrors on mine. I do not have a full windshield, but just wanted to call out that these mirrors have very thin mounting hardware. May work!

My dealer sent me the old Honda part number, that I had on my 2016 1000-5's.
0SV05-HL4-202
Found some new old stock on Ebay. Which is what I was hoping for when I asked them to find me that old part number.
Not 100% they will work or what could have changed that would cause them not to work with the 2021 model and it's Honda glass windshield.

I went ahead and ordered some of that old part number.
Fingers crossed they still fit a 2021 with the glass windshield.

Might be time to look at new/different mods since you last had yours, the superatv flip up window is well worth it if you ride in any warm to hot weather.

I was always under the impression the Polly windshields were easy to scratch up.
I was thinking trails and sand dunes that might really scratch and pit the Polly windshields.

I was pretty happy with the mods I had on the ones I had before.
I am going with bigger tires and custom wheels this time around.
That will likely be the main the difference between this new one, and the 2016s I had before.
At least for now. Once I get it home and figure out how much we are actually using it, I may seek adding a few more
things to this one. Maybe a radio and speakers or just Bluetooth speakers if there is such a thing for these.
If not I have a battery
powered Milwaukee speaker I could probably strap in somewhere.

OP, some parts guy is blowing smoke. I don't believe the buggies have changed.

A 2-pc poly windshield from SATV or Honda that is hinged at the top and the mirrors in post #8 are probably as good as you can find. My dealer refused to install mirrors with my Honda 2pc windshield because some modification is required to the plastic trim attached to the post. If you look closely in my photos you'll see where I hacked away some plastic with a hack saw to mount several different pairs of mirrors. None were satisfactory.

Mine are better but you can't buy the brackets I have inside my Honda upper door fabric using Honda mirrors.

The challenge, if you plan to use upper doors, is 9 out of 10 aftermarket mirrors hat mount on the windshield A pillar do no reach out far enough to see the right side mirror from the driver's seat. It's easy to buy windshield post clamps and lots of mirror heads but what is needed is a bracket/arm that reaches out to extend the mirror heads away from he doors.

Been meaning to update this thread with pics of the new Honda 1000-5 now that it is home and has it's new shoes all installed.
As well as the new old stock part number I found on EBay for the side mirrors worked out just fine. Now that I have seen them and installed them, I am betting about any cage mounted side mirror would have worked. There was a thick foam strip between the glass windshield and the roll cage. Not a big deal at all.
