P1000 license plate light wiring

Does anyone what wire to hook up the license plate light. I'm installing a license plate light on my 2018 1000-5 Pioneer. I just got it home on Saturaday ? Looking for the wire color.

Why not just tie into a taillight wire?

Run it into taillight wire as mentioned and throw ya a switch at the cab if u wanted to be able to turn it off but I wouldn’t even do that

Can I tap into the brown wire just above my plate or do I need to tap the wire right behind the taillight?

Yes, Brown wire is your tail light hot.
