Im new to SxS machines and getting ready to purchase one in a few weeks. I have a trailer to transport but no loading ramps. I have read they weigh in about 1750 and wondered if a ramp rated for 1500 lbs 7'4" would be adequate since there are only 2 wheels on it at a time.
Thanks for hour help in advance.

Keep in mind that the driver is going to add a couple of hundred pounds, and if you eventually add acessories (roof , winch, etc.) along with the spare tools, coolers and gear, you just might be pushing the limits. You can get a set of 3000# ramps for a couple of hundred bucks.

I have a set of Black Widows that I used for years with my motorcycles. This post got me looking at the weight capacity of them and it looks like they are too light for the Pioneer. Damn, I liked the hell out of them.

I have bought a lot of stuff (including ramps) from "Discount Ramps". They have the Black Widow 3000 lb. utv ramps listed for $189.

If the quality and ease of use are anything like my Black Widows that sounds like a great deal.

I am using titan ramps and like them. I took my pioneer to the local grain mill and it weighed 2,300 pounds loaded with my 210 lbs in it. I now empty it before loading it. These are 10' and rated to 2,700lbs.

I use aluminum scaffolding planks to load my machine. I had a set of 1500lb UTV ramps and bent them the first try BUT that was with both tires on the ramp.

In theory it would seem you are only placing 1/2 the weight on each ramp so it would seem a 2000lb set of ramps would be fine for a 1750 lb vehicle. On the other hand like some of you, I like insurance so I think a 3000lb set would be the way to go.
The other question on my mind is how long should they be.
What has been your experiences.

I've been just climbing it up on the trailer. Isn't that what they are made for?
