P500 Maiden voyage...

Got her out for the first real ride that counts today... I am so impressed with this thing for what it is. Me and my youngest son had a blast! The limb kickers worked phenomenal... every thing we threw at them it shed it as intended, absolutely happy I took the time for this mod it proved priceless even my son thought is was cool. Yes I giggled like a school girl inside. Can't wait to load it up with moose and elk sheds.View attachment 15148

Had her out a few times in the flats of the Desert but really never tackled anything to see what she could do. We gave her a work out, crossing a few creeks and doing some muddy climbs. Really impressed, Can't wait for her to pack out some elk. And yeah all three of the boy's got their dads poor mug.. lol Any elk hunter out their? This was # 24 with my bow I believe... kind of lost track over the years.

I recently returned to my first love, bowhunting, after 30+ years with firearms. Met a guy who taught me to draw with my teeth!

Easy as pie, but I never thought of it.

I'm hunting Colorado archery season this year. I've killed a lot of elk, but if I ever kill another, it will be with my longbow.

24 with a bow is incredible, best I ever did was 15 straight years getting my elk and that was with rifle and the last 3 I did not draw but this year I should because I have been saving my draw points and applied them this year to area 2 and 301.

15 straight is very impressive! I was fortunate enough to grow up in prime elk country. I quit using my rifle on game at 15 took my first archery elk at 16 and never looked back. Was fortunate enough to have been part of the world record archery elk that was taken last year.

Here's a non typical that was one of my favorite hunts do to giving up and harvesting him on the last day. Helped build my confidence as a archery hunter. I have been fortunate to take huge Idaho Bulls but to date this was my favorite hunt. This is also a photo of the new world record archer 6x6 typical. We found the missing piece 3 days later, a first in the books
