Had a nice 3 day ride in North west Arkansas this weekend. Heavy rain Friday kept the dust down.

We were out there Thursday through Sunday, water was up in Little Indian creek. Had some folks up from Texas, we had a blast!

What was the trail difficulty?
Mill Creek is easy if you stay on the Blue trails, that your supposed to stay on. I don't care for Mill Creek, it's very busy on week ends, a lot of tall water jerks and dangerous with all the traffic. Big X on Mill Creek on week ends. Mt Magazine, I never ridden.

Any suggestions for best places to ride in Western AR? I had heard of Mill Creek and was talking to my brother in law about going.

I like Mill Creek but last ride out there was during the week around July 4th and NO ONE was on the trails!

Magazine is fun too. There are trails to ride, not only roads.

I've been wanting to try the Sugar Creek trails. They look less traveled because of the location next to nothing.

For a future family trip I do want to check out the Buffalo Ranch. Looks OK for a weekend. Maybe we can kayak the upper section of the buffalo river in the same trip.

We were staying at the lodge so we unloaded at the parking area off 309 near the state park. The trail from here to the trail system is steep and fun! There is a nice lookout near the road crossing too.

Hey thanks, we were thinking of using the Mt. Magazine Trailhead. Maybe we will get to see the famous Terry H on the trails this weekend.

If the lodge is full try the Paris Inn in Paris, Ar. It has seen it’s better days but it’s the closest around. It has a big lot for trailer parking right next to the police station.

We rode 2 days mostly at a leisurely pace and didn't hit all the trails. I loved it there. The only problem we ran into was that the creek that runs down the middle of the trail system was deep and rushing from rainfall and we could not cross it. There are couple trails marked 50" but I took my 62" RZR S1000 down them without problems.

This is the MVUM from 2019 cropped to the Mt. Magazine area. A couple trails that stood out to us were 1662, a great fast trail with fun jumps and 96030F, a steep hill that was interesting.

The map available at the ranger station is not great. It's missing a lot of trails. If you use the maplets phone app there is a map available for download. With the app you can always find your location on the map.

Have fun. We were scheduled to go back in April of 2020 before that got Corona cancelled.
