New to the forum, just bought a new 1000-5 Deluxe, had a Rzr 900S. Never had any problems going through water with the Rzr and after buying the Honda, I’ve been told you can’t go through but 10 inches of water. Is this true? Anyone have any problems with going through water? Mud?

Welcome to the club from Tennessee. You may have to extend the gas tank lines. @Russ989

Welcome to the club and yes you’ll want to extend your vent lines. @Bayouownbeer can get you fixed up.

This has been a great thread. I got on here to say I just bought a 2017 1000 eps with 300 miles, and see if I needed to address anything. Problem solved. I've been a member for several years, but haven't posted for about three. Was originally interested in a P5, but ended up with a RZR 570, which has been great. I've been looking to add a sport utility to the garage for about six months, and barely looked at the p1000 because it was out of my price range. Was targeting Can Am Defender 800, Yamaha Viking and Ranger 570 full size (as the cheap alternative). I loved the Pioneers, but they were just too pricey. But I always knew, the only makes I would trust used were Honda and Yamaha. Then comes COVID19. I stumbled across a deal I just couldn't pass up on a p1000 from a guy that just sold his house, and had to sell his Pioneer. Many people are afraid to leave home, much less go look at a sxs or atv. So this stupid virus has had a silver lining in this case. I grew up on Hondas and have always hoped I'd get back at some point. Looking forward to the forum, it was a huge help the last time around for me.
