This is what I'd use mine for! How strong is that bed where the straps attach?Put her to work this weekend. What a fun little workhorse. Love it so far!View attachment 260645
The bed sides did flex a bit with this much or more wood in there, and where the bungees are attached wouldn't be strong enough to use ratchets. You'd probably want use the metal hooks on the base of the bed for that. This is what I'd use mine for! How strong is that bed where the straps attach?
The bed sides and floor are all plastic. So just make sure you arent throwing the wood in there. There are metal attachment hooks on the bottom/base of the bed if you really needed to secure something down.Great looking rig you have there. I have some of the same questions. Do I understand that the dump box has no metal side panels or metal box floor frame? If that is so it's just a matter of knowing the limitations of your equipment. I am waiting for my P520.
Haha. This load survived the whole way back, but I just putzed back to the cabin. There were 3 more pieces I was trying to get on this load, but they wouldn't balance with just the bungees holding them. Machine handling seemed fine though. Super impressed with it so far!So did those bungee cords keep the firewood from falling off on the way back? 😜
Think a 3/8 horse stall mat will be fine, with a cooler and chain saw sitting on it?Regarding the plastic bed... I'm looking for a rubber mat to put in it. I've seem some thin ones but I'm afraid if they are not thick/heavy enough they will blow out while I'm transporting it. I will probably be going to the Tractor Supply Store (farm supplies, etc.) this week and will look around to see what they have. I would hate to buy a piece sized for a pickup bed, then have to waste 3/4 of it after its cut. Anyone have other suggestions?
Tractor Supply has horse stall mats that are very heavy. I use several of them around the house, lasted for years.Regarding the plastic bed... I'm looking for a rubber mat to put in it.
