The Honda plant here is one of my customers, called one of the guys I know that works there he said it's going to be based on the Pilot instead of the Odyssey.

No V8.....

I would be quite stunned if Honda built a V-8 for anything other than some type of motorsport use. I believe they have said "never" at some point.

Sure. If enough money is to be made...that "no V-8" will go out the window, i'm sure.

Everything is V6 for economy now my V6TL has more HP/Torque than my V8Tahoe did. Granted its at 4500RPM instead of 2000. Honda is a very principled company, they will NOT go back on something that has been promised has a lot to do with their culture.

Can't wait to see the new redesign.. I have been shopping the Pilots and Ridgelines and I hate where the shifter is located on the Pilot but the Pilot is supposed to be completely redesigned as well soo I guess I wait then compare both the 2015 models

Yeah contact told me it looked awesome but all he'd seen were rendered CAD files. A lot can change with a few keystrokes the click of a mouse. I was considering replacing my toy hauler with a Ridgeline but I'll need something else before then.

I have not been a fan of the Ridgeline, But then again. I have never drove one either. I will be in the truck market around then. that's when wife's jeep will be paid off.

I've always had full sized trucks/SUVs the TL is the first car I've ever owned. I have driven the Ridgeline it drives like a Civic x Tacoma hybrid, it surprisingly well done. It only has a 270hp/250tq V6 engine so anything more than @3500lbs is going to strain it, relative to a full size. That said I rarely pull more than that, if I do need something stronger I'll borrow my dads F250 with a BUILT 460. However I've considered an F250 Diesel for the longevity. Also far more comfy than a sports sedan for long rides.
