Regarding the winch, I've had good luck with a Warn winch and controls with synthetic rope on my now retired Polaris 6x6. It replaced a Polaris winch and controls. The Polaris controls were a pain as relay would need a knock to engage the winch so consistently that I carried a short shovel in the box just to grab and reach under and tap the relay while plowing. And then the winch burnt up trying to pull the 6x6 through some mud (I may have been asking too much of it, though it surprised me how little it took to kill it). The Warn was completely reliable for years after install and only in the last winter the relay started getting slightly finicky, though still not as bad as the Polaris was the first winter after install.
I did end up using the Polaris winch's roller fairlead on the Warn as constant winch up/down snowplowing quickly wore a groove in the Warn fixed fairlead. Rollers are better.
