P700 New P700-4 Owner

I traded my p500 in yesterday on a new 2017 p700. I like it a lot. Got a few things ordered already. The kids love it! First thing I did was put anti seize on the exhaust spark arrester cover bolts. I have seen lots of those seize up and break when removed.

Roof, 2 piece windshield, commander or maverick shocks, wheels, tires, led lighting just to start!! My 700-4 has been a good machine and very dependable.

Good move. The 2nd time i pulled mine the bolts brought the threads with them and had to tap them out to the next size.

I installed the 3d power tip on mine and it fell off going down the road on a 5 mile run. It screwed the threads up and I used a nutsert tool and repaired it.

Most of my stuff will be here Thursday. I ordered a Bimini top, bed mat, battery dome lights, rear view mirror, mudbusters rear fender flares, half windshield, full soft windshield, rubber center caps, and the Jei bed latch brackets. I’m keeping the stock tires bc I’m just hunting and riding the kids around on it... no real hard riding. When they do wear out they will be replaced with Tusk Trilobite Hd 8 ply tires. Still undecided on winch....

Did you order the factory flares for the front? I think someone said they didn't think they worked that well and it's because of the lower section. It needed to go a bit lower like the MBs with the mud flap. On a 4, everything flies up from the very bottom of the front tire and hits the rear cage and goes all over the rear seats. Even stock tires.

Those Honda ones sure look good though.

Congrats. I have the factory fender flares they look great but would work better if they went lower they help but certainly don't stop all the mud off the sides.

The Honda Bimini top is very well made! I have a few other things coming by in today. One is the half windshield. I bought the tall one hoping I wouldn’t need a full in the winter while hunting. Sais 14” tall... got a quad gear soft windshield for rainy days during hunting season. They work great for that!

Installed front fenders tonight. They are a real beach to install! None of the clamps they sent were even tight on the frame tubes... I left the top clamp off bc I couldn’t get it to tighten. It’s still sturdy enough I guess. I wish I would have kept the Honda front flares... Not real happy with them but they are on now.. if they fall off I’m trashing them! The rears were easy though... got my winch on too. Waiting on a 6 inch roller fairlead..

IMO, Fender flare options for these suck. You get the MB's, which to me look almost home-made but are very functional, or you get the great looking Honda ones that don't really do as much as they should. It'd be nice if the person(s) designing this stuff at Honda actually tested it out before they released it.
