Washingtonian here, about to pull the trigger on a 2021 1k-5. But before I do,, are there ANY differences in the Deluxe between years 2018, 19, 20, 21 besides color options? Definitely want the Deluxe and not the LE with that new 4wd system. I like to choose which tires will turn. I have read some posts related to this question, but absolutely want a definitive answer on model year differences (if any). 2018's are a few thousand $$ cheaper now than 2021, So why buy a 2021??
Thanks guys!

There's no difference .color choices are the only thing different on the deluxe. the standard didn't come with power steering or paddle shifts till 2020 now every model comes with it

I’d buy a hold over 18 if there was a good enough deal to justify. Whatever you save can be spent on mods. They should all be the same except the 2021 has an UGLY DCT sticker on the front fender.

All the 1000-5s have power steering and paddle shifters. It's just the base 3 seaters prior to 2020 that doesn't have those.

No way your dealer has a new 2018 on the floor. Not with the market being so short supply. It has to be a used model.
But... I guess anything is possible.

2018 needs a few checks.
- Is the new clutch improvement done ( most 18's were from the factory) Very early YM18's were missed.
- YM18 is when the major overheating issues came about. But there is a programing update for that.
- Also several recalls. but they are required to do those before selling.
- Somewhere along the line the rear hitch design was updated.

2021 will not have all the above.
But otherwise, there are no design changes.

Welcome Washingtonian from Louisiana. The Boss (@Hondasxs ) is right. There are very few, if, any 2018's, 2019's and even 2020's left. If you can get a NEW 2018 it should be lots cheaper and then drop that coin on add-ons. Good luck.

21 models went to an all black rim. Me personally, I like the old rims better. But I would by a 21 regardless because of resale value if I ever had to let it go.

Thanks everybody for the info! And yeah, you guys are right, the 2018 that was "in stock inventory" online was nowhere to be found.. Not only that, but the one that I thought I was going to have ordered was sold out from under me because I didn't already have a deposit down. This market is frigging crazy right now and I can't even find a used one anywhere unless I want to drive to Idaho or Utah. I am just going to put money down on a 2021 Camo Deluxe this week to lock one in and be done with it. you guys rock 🤘 thanks for the replies

Just a follow up on the machine I ordered up... 2021 Camo Deluxe. Had to go to Utah to get it, but I'm super happy with it so far.. I need to get a roof, windshield and winch for starters. Debating on half windshield or full. Any thoughts

Many threads on roofs, windshields and just about any other accessories or mods that members prefer. Keep in mind that much of this depends on where and how you will be using that beautiful machine.

I have a factory two pc. window that opens about 5-6 inches. If I could do it over I would get the aftermarket one that opens all the way out.
