Not hitting top speed

Anyone ever experience an issue of not hitting max speed? I have a 2017 1000-5 and it will start fine, idle good, and run great. However when I try to open it up I can only got 42-43 mph as opposed to the 68 mph I used to get. Im wondering if its a fuel filter/pump issue???

Air filter has been checked. And is brand new.

Stock Maxxis tires. @Smitty335, this seems to have started right around when I added a snorkel. I think im gonna unhook the snorkel at the intake and see what happens........

I doubt the snorkel is depriving the machine of 20+ hp, if anything you might have somt'n stuck in there from the install. My buddy noticed a loss of top speed after his snorkel (top speed of 60ish) but nothing close to what you are experiencing.

Is it going into 6th gear? Are you over revving at 42-43?

Have you tried running it in manual? Or sport mode?

Does the same in manual and sport mode. HighLifter snorkel.

Dang man, I would check for somt'n blocking air to the intake.
How about the rpms when topped out?

My DSM has had a couple P1K with issues stemming from snorkels.

Id bet that's your problem.

Im going to go through intake to the air filter box and inspect and clean if needed. Will also check and clean spark arrestor. If nothing significant there I will unhook snorkel and see what happens. Will let you all know, and thanks a lot for the help/suggestions!
