Honda you are building a great product in the p520. I just wanted to give some customer feedback.

1, Make the screen a little bigger so.
more than I item can show at the
same time.
2, Enlarge the fuel tank. There's plenty of
room under there.
3, Put a heat shield under the seat belts
so they don't get so hot.
4, Make the cup holders wider so it
actually hold an insulated cup.
5, Move the oil filter saccessible.
accessable..
6, Possibly add a 6th gear for a higher
top speed.

These changes are not very expensive and would make a huge difference.

Moving the oil filter location isn't expensive?

Just redesign that engine real quick.

Ya it would be real tough to give access from the bottom. A hole in the skid plate would cost millions. Your not a very good mechanic are you.
You originally said “move the oil filter” which is very different than simply putting a hole in the skid to access the oil filter.

For the record, you are picking a fight with one of the best (if not the best) Honda Tech in the country. He has the trophy to prove it.

All of these suggestions were made 10 yrs ago when the 500 came out. It comes down to wants and needs and it was designed as an affordable utility machine, think of it as an ATV with a second seat. Honda built the smallest and most dependable sxs on the market with all the necessities so, realistically, they nailed it.
After working and beating the snot out of one for nearly a decade my suggestion would be... don't f*** with it! 👍

This tech has helped countless on here out of a jamb, saved em money and reduced their stress level. He is a pro, does this every day and I believe stayed at a Holiday Inn once.

You wanted a relocated oil filter, not better access - as usual he is spot on.

I like #6. I’d like seeing the P520 with an additional gear for higher traveling speeds.

Troof. No matter what we do or say (including buying other brands), Hahnda will do as they please (very little).
The SxS division simply is not very important to them, or so it seems to me anyway.
I believe (no source) the average new Honda buyer is aging; it will be curious to see what happens over time.
The American consumer is becoming lazier (no source) and is more than willing to pay lots of money for conveniences (that they believe are necessities). I fear reliability will not rank as high as in the past in buying decisions.

Anyhow, I love the confidence in the reliability of Honda when I'm in the back of beyond at 0-dark-thirty with little mechanical ability. 😄
But, I'm wheeling a utility machine so there's that . . . not its intended purpose.
