This tech has helped countless on here out of a jamb, saved em money and reduced their stress level. He is a pro, does this every day and I believe stayed at a Holiday Inn once.

You wanted a relocated oil filter, not better access - as usual he is spot on.

It was actually a Motel 6 and those motherf***ers forgot to leave the light on.

Troof. No matter what we do or say (including buying other brands), Hahnda will do as they please (very little).
The SxS division simply is not very important to them, or so it seems to me anyway.
I believe (no source) the average new Honda buyer is aging; it will be curious to see what happens over time.
The American consumer is becoming lazier (no source) and is more than willing to pay lots of money for conveniences (that they believe are necessities). I fear reliability will not rank as high as in the past in buying decisions.

Anyhow, I love the confidence in the reliability of Honda when I'm in the back of beyond at 0-dark-thirty with little mechanical ability. 😄
But, I'm wheeling a utility machine so there's that . . . not its intended purpose.
I think that's the answer to all of this. Most of us are using our p5's for a purpose they were not intended for, and they do a damn good job at it.

The P5's are also a blank canvas for mods and owner preferences. Most of the suggestions can be corrected by the end user, if they choose to, and some suggestions might be important to some and not to others as well. Like a bigger info screen would mean very little to me, there's not enough dash room as it is for the stuff I want.

See my Talon rebuild thread for tablet mounting ideas 😁🤣

You can get a few extra MPH with the 906UP mod.

I know. I considered it. But, then I bought this;

Sure it’s expensive but, it’s 50 inches wide and it’ll do 68 MPH without too much effort.

As long as you're willing to spend some time on your side, then yes absolutely! 🙃🙃

IMG 1175

You rang? 😂

I mean, perhaps there are some drawbacks to a 50 inch wide machine with 75HP and a 1,000cc’s. Or, maybe it’s just the maniac behind the wheel? I don’t know?

The only thing I truly miss from the P520 is the transmission. The CVT sucks ass.

I’m sorry… Are you talking about me again?

@Dan Lawrie … Yea, the P5 is quite literally what you make of it. Does it have deficiencies… ALL SXS/ATVs do. There isn’t a perfect machine. You just have to adapt the one that best suits your needs and roll (or flop) with it. So make your mods and just go enjoy the damn thing…
