I am looking for something like this front rack for my 1000-5. I like how it can lift to access the front trunk. Wondering how hard it would be to adapt the cfmoto rack on the the 1000-5?

Bad dawg makes one

Rough Country has one

SuperATV has one that doesn't need to attach to the front bumper

It looks like strong made has one that does not attach to the front bumper

Swamp Ox has a fancy rack

I think any of them could be modified if you are willing to work with metal.

I just realized I misread your question. I thought you wanted to mod a rack to work with the C-Fab front bumper. I don't think any of them flip up for the Honda. There isn't really much under the hood on the pioneer.

That is the idea I am looking for also. Just a basic tube rack that I can strap the chain saw or whatever
on the front. Nothing big or bulky that will block visibility.

I think it would be a great place to carry a spare so not so much weight was hanging off the back end.

ARMike a spare tire on the front is what I would refer to as big and bulky.;)

I had an old Quadboss UTV universal rack on my 700 that I adapted over to my 1000. I like it really well and provides the extra storage I was looking for. They didn't make the mounts for the 1000 so I was able to tie it into the A pillar bolts and put some split clamps on the front brush guard. If I need to access the hood I just remove the 2 bolts in the rear and swing it up.

I did a little ebay searching and it looks like there is still a couple of the Quadboss racks out there. Like I said I had it on my 700 and really liked the extra storage. A friend of mine bought a 1000 and the rack to put on his. He called Quadboss and they said they didn't make and weren't planning to make the brackets for the 1000. He was going to return it and I said to give me a little time and I could probably come up with something. The A piller brackets are attached to a piece of metal that I welded 2 nuts on for the Roll bar bolts to attach to. For the front we ended up replacing our Deluxe bumpers with the LE Bumpers with the added piece for protection. This allowed me to just buy some stock flag/whip mounts from Rockymountain ATV to attach on the front rack too. I haven't paid much attention the to new bumpers but I'm sure it could be made to work with them. It's not the most heavy duty rack out there, but it allows me to carry coats and extra gear. I actually have a Cabelas double gun case we put on there to carry our guns. This fall we actually put my sons deer on there to keep it out of the dust in the back of the rig. Hope you can make something work.

Here's how the 700 rack attached, so it might give you a little idea for a front setup.

I have the same front bumper as you. I have an axe bracket mounted to the front of it using the Honda clamps and they work great. Thinking I would mount the rack on the front with the same style clamp. Quick release also. Thanks for the info.
