Would any one know where the temp sensor is located that operates the engine fan? I also need to check the fuse for the fan. I got in a deep creek, I probably shorted out the fan.

Probably just blew the fuse, the fan was trying to turn and couldn't and drew enough current to blow the fuse. It's a 15 amp fuse and there should be spare fuses in the fuse box. There should be 12 volts on the fan all the time, when the engine gets hot the computer closes a ground and the fan runs. The engine temp sensor sends a signal to the computer, it's not wired directly to the fan.
