Ok i did a half ass frame mod about a month ago or so just to see if my wifes 30x12x12 mud tires would fit off of her p700. I never capped the frame after i cut it because i knew i would be getting these 30x10x14 monster mayhems and i wanted to see how they rubbed. They did rub so i cut it back a little more. I just kinda copied the contour of the plastic floor pan. I plasma cut the frame rail and crossmember pieces out. I know it kinda looks rough. Im gettin kinda shakey these days with the plasma cutter lol. I cleaned it up with the grinder and cut a piece of cardboard out to fit in the frame cutout. Once i got the cardboard sized right i transfered the shape of the cardboard to same plate steel and plasma cut it out. Cleaned it up and kept hammering on it until i got it to match the curve of the frame cutout. I welded it in and wire wheeled everything. Cleaned it up and painted it with a couple coats of gloss black. I put the wheel back on and turned it full lock to the passenger side and ive got about 1 1/2" clearance between the tire lugs and the frame now. I only had time to do the passenger side today. I'll probably jump on the drivers side tomorrow sometime or monday. Anyway, heres some pics of the process. I hope you like!

I figured i'd update this and add a few pics. I finished cutting and capping off the drivers side frame today. I did it the same process as the passenger side. I did it in about an hour and a half start to finish. I got an inch or so gap between the tire lug and the frame at full left hand lock, however, the tire does hit the plastic floorboard now lol. Oh well, if it becomes a problem i'll buy one of those heat guns and heat up the drivers floorboard where it rubs and try and push the corner of the floorboard where it rubs in a little. I might push it in with the rounded side of a pipe so maybe it would look halfway decent when it cools and hardens back. Oh well we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Heres a few more pics of the drivers side. Hope yall enjoy!
