Wanting to pull a single axle 5x12 trailer and 275 gallon water tote (total 2800 lbs loaded) around yard with very little tounge weight. Dirt track watering at slow speed, flat pasture, no inclines. Know its over the spec. rating, but curious if anyone has experience. Thanks.

I have a 66" x 120" single axle trailer and have pulled it with over 1/2 cu yd of gravel on it, it handled it ok. I was more concerned about the tongue weight than the total load. Try it with a half tub of water and keep increasing it until you reach your comfort level. The specifications take the braking ability into the calculations; at very slow speed on flat terrain the brakes won't have much to do.

I pulled a 4x6 trailer with a rock in it that took up the whole trailer and was 3' tall. It must of weighted 3000#+ (the trailer was on the axel)and there were 2 of us in the cab of my P500. I pullerd it about 3/4 of a mile and then had to go up a real long and very steep driveway. I got a run at it and I was surprised how well it pulled up to the top. The rock could not be unloaded with 2 farm tractor buckets so we had to pull it off the back. With a water tank you have to watch out when you try to stop. The load will push you in waves as the water sloshes in the tank. Slow and easy and should be no problem.

Saw a good installation post from @PistonHonda on the receiver, looks solid. Thanks
I remember someone posting they bent the frame hauling out a dead animal using the 1-1/4" receiver, and I think you may have a similar result pulling that much weight unless you get the 2" hitch mount that will distribute weight over both side frame members.
I went with the 1195CMP 2" Receiver Hitch from MFG Supply because it was about $10.00 less than the Moose Industries hitch, looks identical, and worked great skidding trees after the Beauregard Tornado - see #29 here P500 - Test ride
Good luck.

Very little, could move it up and down by hand. Kept that in mind when placing tank over axle. Moved it about 8 inches rearward from pic.
