Well after over 600 miles, Buggy finally got some big boy shoes. Kenda Bear Claw HTR 26x9x12 in front and 26x11x12 in rear all on ITP Delta 5+2 wheels. This setup raised him about 1.5" and he's at about 52" wide. I just took him on a 35 mile trail ride and all I can say is "WOW!". He's a totally different machine. I can't believe the difference in the ride quality. And the extra height is more than welcome. We went through some pretty thick mud, up and down some rocky hills, through some large puddles, and rode high speed (for the P5) on gravel. The performance in all aspects is improved over stock. For any one who is hesitating new tires my advice is just do it. I'm now sorry I waited a year.View attachment 218782
That looks awesome. Like you, I was amazed at what a difference the 26" tires made on my P500.

Odd...I’m positive I posted pictures in here of Rambo with the upgraded wheel/tire setup. It’s fun to see all of the rides in here, makes me miss the P500. Setup:
- SunF Power II tire in size 26x9-12 (all four)
- ITP Delta steel wheel

They are at least true 26",maybe a tad larger.I feel the flex is spot on at 9psi.A good ride and just the right flex at 9psi.I personally would not want a tire any larger,as I feel it hurts the gearing too much.

Thx nctrailboss, gonna go that route if my ceros ever wear out.. I agree with the gearing aspect cuz i ride mainly in tight woods. I’m also obsessed with keeping the wheel/tire weight to a minimum

Yeah, I would like to know if true 28's will rub on the P5 without doing the frame mod? Without having to buy them and see. Anyone? o_O

Love that look! I’m sure it rides like a caddy. How’s the front mud splatter? Notice any power loss due to tire weight?

If you drive like a wild man the mud will cover ya but I love the tires and I really didn’t notice a loss of power but I put these tires on it when it was new so I’m not the one to ask on power loss. it’s so lowed geared it pulls the tires fine though

The gearing and weight were at the top of my list as well.I'm like you in that I do alot of tight woods. It's where these machines really shine.People can say what they want, but 475cc motors don't like big ,heavy wheels. That was one reason I went 9" wide front and rear, instead of 11" rear.

running 27s on mine, 9s front 11s rear. The only power difference I could discern was in starting out in 2nd gear. Other than that I couldn't tell a difference. Others may be able to. I'm in the woods a lot. Also old logging roads/trails. Love my 27s!

Here’s my p5 so far guys, added the roof and flip up windshield, got my tires and wheels next, 27x9 and 27x11x12 interco reptiles, went with itp ss212 wheels with some offset, excelllent clearance, improved ride quality, and better handling

I saw mine on Facebook Marketplace. Met at a Home Depot. Really simple exchange.
