I have an opportunity to buy stock Talon wheels and tires that are 28" on 15" wheels. I know I'd have to get wheel adaptors but will they fit my P500 size wise?

Hi,

I have 27 inch tall tires on my P520 and they rub at full lock when the suspension is compressed even a little. Actually, I think they rub even at less than full lock when the suspension is compressed.

there’s a possibility that the 28 inch tall tires might actually be less than that. I have no idea how it will work for you after adding spacers to the front and rear.

Best of luck,

Rob

Here is my set up. It looks like there should be plenty of room but you when you’ve got the wheels turned and the suspension compresses the tire definitely impacts the inner fender liner in two different places.

I have 27" HTRs on 12" 4+3 offset wheels.

They do not rub on my P500. They do rub on my 520, as seen on CCR machine above . . .

Lately I've been wondering if I can get away with 27s on 14s . . . :)

Time to swap out the rear tires... thinking 26x10 12, it's hard to get supplies up here so I want something that works with the stock wheels and won't require spacers or other mods.

Mainly driving on paved or gravel roads in summer and snow/ice all winter... some off-roading... hit me with your recommendations (bonus points for telling me suppliers in Canada)

Bought these wheels and tires brand new off a guy with a Can-am. Bought RB3 1" spacers and changed the stud locations to make the can-am wheels fit mine. The tires are Maxxis Big horn 2.0 27x11x 12 rears and 27x9x12 fronts. Im super happy with the tires and the wheels. Plus, I got 'em CHAP

Last year I ran 26" EFX Motoclaws. But they were too short and too heavy. To make them run comfortably for my young kids I had to have them aied down so far they were pretty much 24.5-25" tall.

So last month I bought the New Traxion OMEGA, and I'm really glad I did. They don't have the bullet proof tractor Tire feel of the Motoclaw but they freed up a ton of power. So much nicer on the Canadians Shield rocks I'm rolling over mostly.

Size is 27-9-12 and 27-11-12 with 1" spacer all around. Rubs a bit in the fender, considering A arms, or maybe not.

Pricing was right. If always run ITP on my bikes but this 520 it went with a lesser name brand for both sets and I'm very glad I did. Mounting and balancing has been just as easy.

Could you post a side pic, those rims look pretty sharp on the 520. I am assuming those are ELKA stage one shocks? How do you like them?

Yep, Elka Stage1. Without these shocks ,I would probably have sold this bike for what I use it for. Where I ride mainly, it's flat shield rock with pine roots crossing the trail, and they were destroying my back, the Elkas made that a non issue. And I ride at 8-12 kmh it's so rough. With the Elkas I could run up to 24 kmh. But I don't. This machine is prett much a dedicated bear hunting rig, so consistency is important.

Tusk Megabite 8-ply radials. 27x9x12 front. 27x10x12 rear. Wheels are OEM aluminum wheels off a Yamaha (center cap has the Yami logo), probably an ATV like a Griz or Kodiak. 6" front and 7" rear. Not sure the offset. No spacers on the front. 1" on the rear.
