I removed the factory airbox and cut it off just before the initial bend. From there, I started my 2" piping, starting with the straight flex coupling

So, this mod wasn't that bad. All in all, it cost me about $35 bucks. Let me know your thoughts...thanks!

Don't know it I like the drain, but I like the rest of it. Looks pretty clean.

I’m not a snorkel kind of guy but that looks nice! Don’t forget there are numerous other precautions as well, assuming you are going deeper in water over factory recommendations, ie., all those vent lines, dielectric grease to all connections, etc....

Yeah, i'm like 50/50 on the "drain end" right now. My biggest concern (and reason for doing it) was to prevent large debris from being sucked into the intake system (though, given all the bends in the intake, that's probably unlikely to happen). So, i'm going to keep it on for a little while and see if it really grows on me. If not, it will take 2 seconds to remove. Thanks for the feedback!

Agreed. I honestly can't see taking it into water that deep anytime soon. But, I was bored and needed a project to do while the weather wasn't that great :). Plus, my neighbor is a plumber and was like "hey, what about a snorkle?"

So, i'd rather have it and not need it right now, vs need it and not have it.

Just wondering if your setup quieted the air intake noise at high revs. Thanks for any help.
