Part Missing?? Bed Dust Flap

Hi Friends,

I need yout help plese see the picture bellow and please compare the with your pionner and let me know if this par is missinG is like a piece of ruber liner in between the dumped bed and the cabin. I was cheking that because we felt a lot heat from the engineN in or backs and I was cheking if somethins was wrong so I found this. Please freinds let me know.

P4 does not come with that rubber flap. Not sure why.

Yep. Not included on the p4.s.
Don't know why.

but, Its only about $8 if you want to add it. Honda Part #81546-HL3-A00

I thought it had something to do with the air flow on a P2 caused a lot of dust blowing down into this gap and into the air intake, so they had a flap there to help prevent this.

I know this is an old thread but I discovered the same on my 16 700/4. I went back to the dealer and convinced them it was missing. They ordered it and gave it to me free of charge. I haven't noticed much difference as that seal on a 700/4 only covers the footwell for the back seat... anyway, call it ADD but I had to have it cuz it look like something was missing...

My 2017 -4 is missing it also, just found it out last week while cleaning. Thought maybe the mech took it off and forgot to install it after the 100 mi service. Guess there is no need to worry now.

I know this is a really old thread but... My 2021 came without the flap behind the drivers side also. I had the dealer order me one and I have installed it. Does anyone know if Honda purposely does not include it? The dealer checked and the image shows both on the build sheet schematic but on the parts list the quantity only list one. I want to know if I should be watching for heat or performance problems because of it. It cut down on the amount of dust coming up into the cab area quite a bit.

Just got mine a couple weeks ago and noticed the same thing. I thought it just got missed and called the dealer. It's supposed to be on the way now. Just looks like it should be there
