If you haven't tried a Contender Peach, try one, they are a free stone variety, run a little smaller than other Peaches, with twice the flavor. You will usually find these more abundant in the markets after a hard spring, when all the other Peach crop have been damaged, due to there late devolvement and they are great! There just not as big and the public loves big Peaches, kinda like tomatoes, ugliest tomato is a Cherokee Purple and best tasting! Same thing with eggs, public thinks there's something wrong with a egg with an orange yoke, HA!
